Huge Favor to ask

This is a shout out to everyone who was able to make it to our wedding a couple a weeks ago. Due to some majorly unfortunate events and technology our photographer's hard drive crashed and ate some of our pictures. So I am asking people to check their photos they took and see if they have any of the following.

1. Pre-wedding anything. (Any with the boys or girls both inside and out).
2. Pre-procetional. (boys at the alter or walking in).
3. Procetional of the bridesmaids.
4. When BJ first saw me or as I was walking down the isle.
5. And most importantly my dad walking me down the isle.

Now let's all hope that next weekend it won't rain and it won't be toooooo increadably hot. This afternoon, BJ and I are going to see Cars for the second time just for fun! see you later.

Wedding Crazyness

I will be sad and happy at the same time with I don't have to plan and prep for the wedding. I love being a bride don't get me wrong. I get happy attention and best of all I am the center of attention. The part I don't enjoy as much is being the party planner. It feels like everytime I turn around I get the "oh congradulations your getting married" then not even 10 seconds later they ask are you ready, is everything done? So it is like a happy sun then flashflood. I can't wait for the actual day though because by then evertying will be taken care of and it will all fall into place with no actuall planning that day. CRAZY WOMAN ON THE LOOSE!

All things naughty

So in honor of my lack of posting and BJ's bachelor party and my Bachloret party we will talk about naughty things we have done lately. In other words, it is a little like confession blog. And to make it fun to read it will be in list form. GO!

1. Sometimes I don't brush my teeth before I go to bed.
2. I hate doing all house work so I push it off as long as possible.
3. I don't drink as much fluid as I should.
4. I don't want to do any of my wedding planning stuff.
5. BJ pretended to enjoy his bachelor party but he really didn't.
6. Sometimes I secretly wish some children won't show up for therapy.
7. Sometimes I use shampoo as soap when I want to make my shower shorter.
8. I never wash my clothes in warm water because it might ruin some of my outfits.
9. I watch more TV than I should.
10. I have begun to really enjoy fake-n-baking.
11. I made $35 at my bachloret party.
12. BJ is proud of me for actually making money at my party and not spending it.
13. I get very annoyed when people tell me I am to little because they think I can control it.
14. I really enjoy cop shows on TV
15. I love to gossip.
16. I never make my bed.
17. I enjoy being lazy.

Confess something!

Ahh Up and Running

Okay we are good now. BJ and I are moved in (for the most part). Most of our rooms are unpacked and look good, however, there are still some random things around the house that haven't found homes just yet but we are getting closer. Friday we had Cable, Internet, and Phone installed. However, of those things the phone only works half the time. For example, we can call you but you can't call us. The wedding is getting closer and we are still in a bit of denial that it is right around the corner. It is one of those things where we have been dating for soooooo long that it doesn't actually feel like the wait is finally over. So now that we have internet keep your eyes open for some blogs. I should be posting more in the coming days/weeks/months.

And Katie, I don't think BJ and I will combine blogs, but maybe I can get him to blog a little more.

Don't worry I didn't die

I didn't die, I just moved. Simple answer. I didn't fall off the face of the earth but the earth is keeping me very very busy. Work is going great, I love to spend my day playing with children and hanging out. It was a fun time when I got my first paycheck, I really havn't seen that much money go into my bank account at one time. I thought it was cool. Like I said BJ and I moved last weekend. We now live togeather **Gasp** but no worries, we are spending so much time getting settled it won't actually feel like we are living togeather until after we are married. Maybe we will get internet and I will be able to become more frequent of a writer and you all won't have to have worry about me anymore. I'm Okay!

Day late 6

So yesterday was 6-6-06 as everyone knows. If you didn't know I'm not really sure were you were at but you have bigger problems than knowing what is going on in my life.

Anyway, nothing really spooky or evil happened to me yesterday, basically it was just another day. Today however, I forgot my lunch, was originally scheduled for 5 kids but ended up having 6, got stuck at subway for the majority of my lunch, had a twilight zone moment at White hen right after that, and left work late. There that was six weird things that happened to me that would have been a little more meaningful if they had happened yesterday.

How to fill a 10.5 hour day doing nothing

This is great. You actually can take what you learn in school and apply it to the real world. Yes, I learned a lot of information about child speech and language development, but I also learned how to do nothing for several hours and still look busy. Yesterday and today I put this knowleadge to the test to see if I could go all ten hours and a half hours. Now just a side note: In the past two days I did have two clients so it is not an accurate to my day but if you need pointers to a ten hour day I can help.

8 am-turn on your computer. Put your lunch in the Refigerator and say good morrning to the front desk staff. Log onto the computer (computers are old so it takes a while). Check e-mail accounts, and daily schedual.
9 - Go see the Front desk staff again. See if more of them are there, Stop and fill up your water bottle. Review your plans for your future days to see if you need to do anything. Check your e-mail again.
10- Pick a letter of the alphabet and see how many arts and crafts you can find that will help your client with that letter.
11- Go to the bathroom. Wash your hands real well. Look through random toy closets and pretend to be planing something really good to do with the toys. (It helps if you take some things out and lift them up.)
12- Eat lunch real slow and talk to the other people you are eating with you. (Hint: go about 10 min early and stay about 10 min longer than supposed too.) Check e-mail and schedual to see if anything has changed.
1- Print out some craft activities and Color them. Bug the other therapists and ask them questions about their day and clients.
2- Check e-mail and the next days clients. Print out some e-mails. Get directions to some place on Mapquest. Check the directions to make sure they are correct. Zoom in and out on the map to make sure you know where it is. Fill out some paper work, make sure you make some mistakes so you can use the white out.
3- Pull a couple of charts to review. Maybe grab some new charts and make notes about the kids.
4- Have a snack. Check on the front desk staff. Make sure they are doing okay. Use the bathroom. Play with all the little gadgits in the bathroom, like the arisol can and towels and stuff. Check mail again. Write a couple of e-mails.
5- Check the next days sechedual to make sure nobody new was added to your day. Review the next couple of weeks, see how they look. See what other therapists scheduals are looking like. go back in time and see how past weeks looked.
6- Pack up for the day take a long time. Say goodbye to everyone, and ask them what their plans are for the day. And leave a couple min early.

Hope this helps you firgure out what to do with your day.

First week of work

Well I didn't die! Actually, I had a hard time remembering that I was actually getting paid to do what I was doing. And really, I didn't do much work at all. Just a lot of reading, listening and watching. I am working at The Rainbow Center, A PhysioTherapy Associate. I am now a full time Speech Pathologist. I actually got to say my title the other day and it completely threw me off. I had to identify myself over the phone and it was very hard to not say student speech pathologist. However, I am having a hard time remembering what clinic I work for. There have been several times when I say I am from Action for Kids or refer to my co-workers as Gina my old supervisor. I think I will go back next week.

On another note BJ and I got the apartment we were waiting for and Brett graduated. It was a fun and very busy week.

A week of nothing

I made an executive discussion a couple weeks back. I decided that after I graduated I would take the week off and just enjoy myself. And that is exactly what I have done. Monday I slept in and started cleaning/packing my room, which is actually really hard because I'm not moving for a month. Monday night I went down to watch BJ play softball. Tuesday I spent the day at BJ's house and then watched another softball game for BJ and then one later in the evening for his brother. Wednesday mom and I went shopping for a mother of a bride dress for her. It wasn't as easy as you might have thought but we did finally find a dress that looked good on and wasn't a fortune. Thursday BJ, McGuire and I went couch shopping and we found one we really liked. And today is Friday and I am doing more of the room cleaning/packing.

Also though out of the course of the week I have finished two books "L is for Lawless" and "M is for Malice" and I have done a bunch of cross stitch.

Here Ye, Here Ye

**Trumpet Sound**
Just thought I would let you all know that I am now an official Speech Language Pathologist!!! Yes I did it. I got hooded, I climbed the steps, I walked across the stage, I shook some persons hand, and then walked down the stairs. I didn't fall and they said my name correctly. As far as school goes, I think I am done for a couple of years. Now it is time to grow up and get a job. The thought is a little frightening just because it is something new. It's not that I don't think I will be a good SLP but the fact that I am no longer a student. It took me 6 years to finally figure out how to do a good job at school now it will all change and I will have to be a professional.

Thanks for your attention, you can go on with your day.

Mythbusters

So I'm not really all that sleepy because I am sleeping in until about 9 or 10 every day so I feel the need to stay up until odd hours of the night just to spend at least a 60:40 ratio of being awake to sleep. So I need something to do to keep my attention long enough and I found MythBusters. For all of you who have not seen this show it is on Discovery Channel and they take urban legends and use scientific practices to prove or disprove the legends. Tonight I found out that talking on the phone, and taking a shower during a thunderstorm could get you killed (they proved this one), your toothbrush can collect fecal mater by being in the bathroom (so cover it up or put it in another room), and eight men in a rowing boat (like the one in the Olympics) can pull a water skier. One of the ones that they disproved was a man in the civil war was shot through the leg and the family jewels then the bullet hit a woman a couple hundred feet away in the abdomen and impregnated her. For anyone who enjoys seeing the research about statements, they would enjoy this show. So no more showers for me during a thunderstorm.

The Monster in the attic

Okay it was only Sonny but he still scared me this morning. Mom happened to forget to tell me that Sonny was going to be over to do something around the house today so I woke up to what I swore was a fox or raccoon in the wall. And I wasn't in that stage of sleep where I was half a wake and half asleep, no I was dead asleep. So when I did finally become conscience enough to realize what was going I was thinking, "Mom is going to flip when she finds out there are animals in the attic." But then the noise didn't stop so I decided to see if the house staining people were here and what do you know there was a latter outside of my window. That's when I realized the noises that woke me up probably weren't animals, but I still didn't know who put the latter there so I went downstairs and realized it was all Sonny. So that was the first 20 min. Of my morning.

Big OOPS

Well so let me tell you ablout the oops I had today. I was in Joliet out by BJ and brought his car to get a new pair of shoes (other wise known as tiers). After we were done I started to head home and got a phone call. It was my work calling to ask me where I was. I was a bit confused because I was sure I had today off, so I did not understand why they were wondering. Then they told me that I was currently thirty min. late for work. I wasn't even sure what happened next but I knew I was 60 min away and I still didn't have any scrubs. So I appologied profusely and sped toward home. I eventually got to work and worked the remainder of my shift. When it was time for me to go home I decided to check the schedule one more time. I figured out my error. I wrote down my Monday time in the Tuesday spot and then I guess I created new hours for me to work on Thursday but it sure would have been funny if I showed up to work and wasn't supposed to be there after a day I didn't show up to work because I didn't know I was supposed to be there.

Explanation of a Corn bag

Honestly if you ask me they are the coolest invention on the face of this planet. They are actually very simple to make once you have all the right stuff and understand how to use the sewing machine. So basically it is a bag of dried feed corn. That's it. But the use of a corn bag is what I enjoy. You throw it in the microwave for about 3 min and it stays hot like a heating pad for hours. Or you can put it in the freezer and use it for an ice pack again it stays cold for hours. Since it is corn it form fits to what ever body part you want it to and it is great for injuries.

That is what a corn bag is for all who didn't know.

Prom Weekend

While I was working massive hours this weekend other individuals between the ages of 16 and 18 were attending local proms. One such couple was Brett and his girl friend. I only was able to see pictures of this lovely event but man do those kids clean up nice. So here are a couple of pictures of them.

On another note, today was my first day off in seven and I enjoyed it completely. Just ask BJ, I was desperately needing this day off. Work gets stressful after a certain amount of time. Today I
1. Returned Brett's Tux
2. Bought a new pot for a plant I have
3. Made two corn bags
4. Fixed my spread sheet in excel workshop
5. Repotted my plant
6. Unloaded the dishwasher
7. And just chilled out.

tomorrow it is back to work I am so excited.

Getting Sick of work

I have a bit of a problem. I am driven by making money, and when you get paid hourly it means picking up more hours. Well I don't usually realize how many hours I pick up when I am doing it because all I am focused on is the money I will be making when I do the work. Now I figured out that I am working close to 80 hours in two weeks and I am working every single night for 7 days. So I am sort of working illegal because you should have one day in seven off of work. So in the next few days if you need me I will be at work. Call me to say Hi!!

Happy Birthday Sara!

Today is Sara's birthday. Last night a bunch of us went out for her birthday and we had a good time. I think Sara had the best time out of all of us but that is how it should be seeing as it was her birthday. Today, however, Sara and I were going to go out to lunch but I think her party took it all out of her. I hope the rest of her birthday goes great and is enjoyable.

Silly Animals

This morning I was at my Dad's house and the dog and I were sleeping in. I think Jasmin secretly knew that I was the only one not getting out of bed before 7 so she came into my room to stay out of the way of traffic. Well when my alarm finally went off Jasmine gave me a look as if to say, "Just five more minutes." So since she wanted to sleep more I reset the alarm for 30 more minutes and fell back asleep. However, when the alarm went off the second time Jasmin stood up, walked to the top of the bed and laid across the pillows placing her head on my shoulder. Every time I tried to look at her she covered my face in dog slobber. And she laid there on top of me for about 15 min before I finally figured out a way to sit up without injuring her. She just made me laugh because I have never seen here do something like that before. We should have named her Goofy instead of Jasmin.

100th episode

This is my 100th blog. Real amazing right?

Well first of all thanks to everyone who was worried about me but I'm back and still kicking.

So lets see what to blog about today... hmm... Oh I know!

Okay so before grad school I really did not have much of the craft bug in me. (It does cause a bit of a fever and stuff when you have it real bad). However, when I started hanging out with Jen a bit more I realilized I had the craft bug but it was just lieing dormit for a bit. So the bug came to the surface and started causing problems. First, I started a HUGE cross stich that I am now only about half way done but it has been pushed aside due to other obligations going on in my life at the moment. Then I Started the Veil of Death. Which might I add, the large part edge beading is complete now I just have to do the small part and little things but again, Not finished. Then I decided hmmmm, I know a handful of people who practicly attach me to get my corn bag, so I should make some of those to reduce scaring and bruising prior to the wedding. So I asked for directions on how much fabric to buy and how large squares should be for this thing but I never heard back about it. Well since the bug has been growing more confident I decided I could do it myself (just like a three year old). However, I have Never and I mean Never bough fabric before in my life, I have been there when other people have do it but this was a new experience for me. So Obviously I buy to much. Then I cut the pieces what I think is too small. So instead of having a corn bag I have bean bag size bags for corn. HMMMM again, if only I had those stupid directions. So when I am trying to sew the bags together the sewing machine and I start to fight. (Speaking of, mom I need some help with the Sewing machine). SO right now I have 6 corn bags cut but not put together because of the machine being difficult. Any other craft project I can start and not complete? I would love to know!
