Happy Anniversery

We hit our 5th anniversary this past weekend.  We typically spend our anniversary watching our wedding video, and talking about if this is where we saw ourselves in 1997.  It usually isn't but we haven't yet regretted any of our decisions at this point.  But I'm still happy and it really doesn't seem like 5 years.  However, apparently we are getting old because we are having a hard time remembering what we have done over the past 5 years.  So for the sake of my fleeting memory, we had dinner with Sara and Dan on Friday.  On Saturday we dropped Elijah off with Grandma and we headed to a hotel to spend the night and eat the cheapest pizza we could find.  On Sunday we enjoyed a free buffet complements of my mom and Sonny's wonderful bidding at an auction.  It was nice, it was relaxing, and it was cheep. 

I feel like it's been forever

I have realized this past week I have not blogged very much.  It has been a bit busy.  Let me fill you in.

1. Last Saturday we threw a surprise party for our neighbor who turned 30 last Thursday. It was a success, she was surprised.
2. Last Sunday we did church and joined a group to help make new mentors feel at home in our church.
3. Elijah and Daddy when to youth group together and I cleaned up all of Elijah's old clothes and put all the fall/winter ones in his closet (didn't know this whole week would be summer weather).
4. Monday worked until 7
5. Tuesday celebrated my 13 year anniversary with my hubby.
6. Wednesday I worked until 7 and had the issue with the plane crash in the area.

7. Thursday I had a class 1.5 hours away from home learned a lot and feel real good about being a parent and a therapist but spent over 3 hours in the car driving, went out to dinner with the neighbors for the birthday and then promptly fell asleep at 8:00 on the couch.

8. Friday visited a new mommy and baby pair, then headed to the old High school for the homecoming football game and and marching band.  Elijah enjoyed the marching band but was so ready to leave after that.  Seeing that it was 1.5 hours past his bed time.

 9. Today Elijah had his doctor appointment (31 inches long, 25 lb and 4 oz) had three shots, and was mad at mommy. Drove out for the college homecoming football game (E slept 2 of the 2.5 hour drive) watched/stayed for 2 quarters then walked all over the campus for 2 some hours before getting back in the car and driving home (another 2.5 hour nap for E).

Now I'm sleepy, but that was my week in a nut shell.  I miss the beauty of my college but would only go back if BJ would stay with me the whole time.  Also blogger is not allowing me to move the pictures to where I want.  So deal with them the way they are.  At least you got pictures.  Be thankful!

Weekend

First of all, this new job I have and my new hours are really going to impact my posting. Or I will be staying up later to get the posting done. I really think blogging is a stress reliever for me and that makes me happy.

Second, Friday was AWESOME. Bj and I Had a wonderful time...after we almost killed each other. Le me start from the beginning.

We woke up at our normal time and brought the child off to daycare. We came home and met with our Financial planner so we can figure out what to do with our $3.00 that we have in the bank account. Once we were all done BJ and I started to clean the house. We spent 2 hours cleaning and our house looked wonderful. We packed for the night and went off to get the baby from daycare.

On our way there I realized it was about 100 Degrees outside and there was no air conditioning in our car. On the way to my mothers I was freaking out because I thought Elijah was going to die from heat exhaustion while I was sweating through my clothing. I was frustrated. BJ and I were bickering back and forth until we just gave up talking. Once we got to my mom's BJ went out to see if he could recharge the AC himself, however, when it was fixed the last time, the people put in bad valves so he was set up for failure before he even began. This making him even more crabby than he was 30 minutes before. At that point in time, my mom told us to just take the Mini. Well as BJ was going to back the Mini out of the garage the garage door spring broke. Finally we got the car out, packed and we finally got on the road. About half way to the hotel we finally started to talk to each other.

We go to our hotel out by the Airport and I was able to watch the big shinny planes come and go. I jumped in the shower to wash off all the grossness from sweating like a professional athlete and started getting ready for the night. When I was done I looked pretty and I was so ready to go to this concert. We got our ride over to the arena and by this point I was beyond excited. I kept hoping that Fergie's hubby would make a cameo, or at least sit next to me during the show. We were just off the stage. And I really do not have any words to how awesome the show was. Yeah, that 's right that's Fergie. It was amazing, made us both super happy. Then after the show we went out to wait for our shuttle back to the hotel and it was right in the landing pattern for all the planes so I could watch them all land. Made me even happier.

The next morning I slept in until 9:30. That's right 9:30, I haven't slept that late in...I don't remember when. Then it was back to my mom's so officially every grandma has had the baby over night now. This is when my mom told me about Elijah's eye rolling. I was hoping it was just a fluke but while we sat there he rolled his eyes into the back of his head twice. It looked like he was about to pass out, or was being possessed by a demon. Either one, I didn't like the options. I then called the doctor, and after seeing him do it once more, we were off to the ER because I just couldn't think of anything but seizures. ER doc told me he wasn't thinking it was seizures, but a learned behavior. Great my child has an eye tick that I have to get rid of before it sticks. Fantastic. The rest of the weekend was much less eventful but I was really sleepy because my sleep cycle was all off.

Wednesday? What Wednesday?

Wednesdays are the craziest days of the whole week. I feel like I walk out of the house and 5 minutes later I come home, except in that time I: attend three classes, eat a lunch in 5 min, plan for therapy, clean up from therapy, and work 3 hours in the CMC. I know it doesn't seem like a lot of stuff and I almost feel silly for thinking all of it tiers me out, but it does. I guess its just the constant moving and transitioning between classrooms, activities and planning that just makes it so crazy. Well I promised you all that I would post pictures of my flowers so here they are.

A lot of people have been asking me what the yellow rose is for, This is something that BJ has done since we started dating. In fact, I can't remember a set of flowers that didn't have a yellow rose in it. When you look into the symbolisms of the colors of the roses red of course stands for love but the yellow is for friendship. So BJ give me at least one to show our friendship and our love. Its just something extra thoughtful that makes his flowers nice.

Look in to the Past

Ah 8 years ago today was BJ's and my first date. So in honor of this event we will appreciate all those who pushed me to that moment and those after. First my bestest friend Sara, Thanks for all the whispering and giggling we did all through junior high about my dumb crushes on all those funny nicknames we gave guys so they didn't know we were talking about them. Second, thanks to Juliet for letting me drool over him when we went to Colorado and making me asking him to Homecoming. Third, Thanks to BJ for being a good guy and going to a dance at a school you didn't know with people you had never met and a girl you didn't really know existed. Fourth, thanks to Tracy (or Sara I forgot which one) for clarifying the whole "did he have a girlfriend" situation. And lastly for Sara for that wired phone call the following night while we were all talking on Instant messenger and relaying the message to BJ that I would "go out" with him if he asked me to. Whew looking back, man were we silly teenagers. And wow Sara didn't realize how much you influenced the BJ situation at that time. So now 8 years later, BJ sent me a bunch of flowers, they almost made me cry. I'll talk a picture of them tomorrow. Thanks BJ.

Flowers

Awwww, sometimes BJ is just so sweet. Today was one of those days. I kept sending BJ hints that I wanted flowers send to me on our anniversary. Well our anniversary is next week but I was having a semi bad day (which is happening more and more lately). So anyway, I got done with therapy and out on the front desk were these flowers. Once I got close I noticed they were for me. AWWWW he must have known how stressed I am getting with school this semester. SO yeah here are the flowers. I love the vase they came in, it is metal with a beautiful design. I also had to take them home with me because I just couldn't leave something there to sit and die in the clinic when no one is there to watch them die.

Oh What a day

Its just a case of the Mondays, and by the way I hate the Mondays. It started out fine until 7:30, then I couldn't find my keys, forgot my lunch and my morning snack, got to school later than I wanted too and then had four hours of class. Yes, all this before 12. Way to much to deal with. Now I'm just sleepy and don't want to do anything. However, I'm sure all of you are wondering what I bought when I was shopping so I'll show you two f the great deals I found. The first one is what I got BJ for our anniversary (BJ close your eyes you can't see it, I'm just kidding, tell me if you like it.) Are you ready for the deal??? The origanal price $300, the price I paid including tax $62. Nice right. Okay now for deal two, I was so impressed with BJ's coat BJ said he would get me one too but it was only a weekend sale so I went back an bought myself one. So, for $124 I got $600 worth of coats.

I'm Board!

Finally a day off! No work and no obligations to do anything, however, I'm board! I am trying to make plans for the evening but things are just more difficult than they really should be. For example, I want to make reservations at a comedy club, but they are not answering the phone so I don't know if they are booked for the evening or not. Frustrating!

Last night BJ and I went to see Wedding Crashers. We both really enjoyed it. In fact, BJ has already put it on his "I am definitely going to get that one when it comes out on DVD" list.

This is a Good Job BJ shout out. BJ is fighting crime in his jewelry store and is helping catch a thief who was their on Wed. Apparently, (all my information comes from the star himself) on Wednesday a lady came into the store and was acting very suspicious. She hung around looking at different items for over an hour and BJ thought this was very weird. He wrote down her license plate number just in case and she left. Well today he gets a call from the owner questioning him about missing items in some of the cases. He tells her about the weird lady and they go to review the tapes. The tapes show her actually taking items out of the cases and leaving with them. Well BJ's smart thinking with the license plates helps them trace this lady down. I just hope they catch the lady! Nice job BJ!

Oh and one year ago today BJ and I got engaged! Wow that year went fast.
