The Zoo Part I: By Elijah

We went to the Zoo for my birthday.  It was fun.  I fell asleep right before we got there and was a little slow to start.  As soon as we got in we went to see the bears.
Mommy really likes the bears so she wanted to see them first.  It was a good choice mommy.  The bears were all being crazy.  We stayed there for almost half an hour watching the bears swim and walk around.

Mommy and I got with in 2 or 3 inches from the bear.  I gave the bear a high five.  It was so cool.
We spent so much time with the bears, I turned into one.
After the Bears we went to the children's zoo but my polar bear needed a snack so I gave him one.
Come back tomorrow for more zoo trip fun.

Memorial Day: by Elijah

Today was a special day.  It felt like a weekend day but Mommy said it was Memorial Day.  I celebrated with my Dino's.
Then my new friend Tessa came over and I shared my bucket of water with her.  Whoa, careful with the cow dino thing.
Which one is your ride Tessa?  Oh that one?  Nice wheels!
So Tessa, what do you do most of your day?  I like dinos and things.
Well thanks for the kiss Cow dino, thing.
Even though I like dinos I don't like them that much.  I mean Yuck, have you ever kissed a cow?
Then my friend Cole came home from her trip.  I was so happy to see her!
HEY MOM.  COLE'S HOME.  WE'RE GOING TO PLAY IN THE PUDDLE.
Look I can walk like a bear.  ROAH!
Cole check out my bucket of water.
We're being good mommy.  We promise.  Right? That is what we were supposed to say?
 Missed you Cole.
 Glad your home.
Wanna go on a ride on my momocycle?  Vroom Vroom!
Man I'm beat.  This has been a heck of a day.  I need some ice cream that will keep me up until 9:00.  I like this Memorial Day thing.
Even Scuscu liked the day.  She was pretending to be a polar bear with her block of ice at the end of the day.
P.S. Mommy says the next few weeks she will be super busy (it's garage sale time which means not a lot of time home.) She is sorry for the limited posts in the next few days.

Yard work: By Elijah

Mommy needed some things done around the yard so Daddy and I got to work.  Mommy wanted new plants in the front of the house so we ripped up the ugly old ones
and put in nice green ones.
I helped Daddy do the digging.  I found lots of stuff in the dirt, but I didn't want to touch much of the dirt.
I found my buddy "Worm" and a lot of rolly polly bugs.
Mommy said the bugs were strong so I picked them up.  I even put Worm into the bucket and watched him make a tunnel.
Mommy couldn't take a picture of it all done because it was too dark.  Trust me though it looks real good.

Boobawy Saturday: By Elijah

I like the day Mommy and Daddy call Saturday.  I hang out in my crib until the sun is up and then when I yell to Mommy that the sun is up she comes and gets me.  Then she lets me watch Momo (Mommy translation: Elmo) or Pooh in her bed with her.  I think she needs help staying awake though so I have to pat her every 5 minutes to wake up.  Daddy then makes yummy breakfast today we had boo bawy (blueberry) pancakes.
Boobawys are my favorite.  I ate a nana (banana) and 2 pancakes.  I'm a bit messy.
Then we went to Mawmaw's (grandma) and Pawpaw's (grandpa's) to meet cousin Landon.
Mommy said Landon is a baby and he is my baby cousin.  I could not tell the difference between a cousin baby and the other babies at daycare.  I liked Landon, he was a good baby, he has some real cool toys.
Daddy, Peter and Jason all helped me make a giant train set, however, they stopped paying attention and the tracks all fell apart.
It is okay though because all I wanted was the choo choo nunnl (train tunnel) and a choo choo.
I like the day Mommy and Daddy call Saturday.

Birthday Party: By Elijah

Mommy told me that I have been to a birthday party before but I don't remember it.  On Sunday I had a birthday party for my friend across the driveway.  She turned 2.  We went to Bounce Town.  Mommy said it would be fun.  It wasn't.  I didn't like it.  Mommy kept telling me "It will be okay" and "we will do it together."  I kept telling her "No Mommy."
The bouncy things were weird.  My body didn't feel safe.  I didn't like the air blowing on me form all sides.  It was scary and some of them were dark.
Near the end of the party I started to have fun when I was in one of the big jumper with just Mommy and Daddy and Jon. I was happy if I had a ball.
I even made a new friend.
Then Daddy taught me how to dunk.
I threw a few footballs, ate some pizza, and posed for a couple more pictures.
Then I pooped and had to tell everyone.
