I know, I'm slow

I have lived in the same area for just about my whole life, minus the time I was in college.  In that time I have been to lots of places in this area.  One of those places is the Arboretum, the Morton Arboretum.  I am almost 30 years and have been to that place a whole lot and just this week was told it was part of the Morton estate, as in Morton Salt.  Yeah, I know, I'm a bit slow.  I don't think outside the box a whole lot, that's why I wouldn't be very good at marketing or inventing.

I don't know You be the Judge

Back in may we bought 2 tomato plants. We planted one in a pot and one in the ground and wanted to see which one did better. The first year we planted tomato plants we did them both in the gound and I think they were too close togeather and we didn't get many tomatos. The second year, also the year Elijah was born, we planted two tomato plants in planter pots in the back yard. Now grantide, I didn't quite water them that much last year but we didn't get many tomatos from them either. So I thought this year I would try one of each and try to make a plan for next year. But I am having difficulty trying to decide which method is working better so I took some pictures, you decide.

Happy Birthday Plants

Just for the record I am the worlds worst person to keep plants alive. However, I do have to say that last year the week before Thanksgiving I got two bamboo shoots. Now you may say that bamboo plants are fool proof. All you have to do is give them water. They don't even need sunlight. Well I have actually killed one once. So they are not that fool proof. But the two I got over a year ago are still alive and growing. I guess Elijah has hope that he will live to see his first birthday.

I will post about Elijah's doctors appointment too tonight.

Potting Plants

Okay, so my mom has these two plants that she wanted to get new pot for because the ones we have are old and kinda boring. So about 2 and a half years ago my brother bought her these new pots that she wanted. Well for the past two and a half years these pots have been sitting next to the sewing machine in the laundry room just begging to be put on display. SOOOO me being the good daughter I am decided to transfer the plants myself. Well apparently mom also wants to split the plants which I thought no problem. Well after being covered head to toe in dirt or Potting Soil I finally get the two plants into four separate pots however, they no longer stand up strait. The poor plants have to sit in corners just so it looks like they are growing up and not out. I really hope I didn't just kill the plants we had in our house for years and years and years. Good luck to them in their new homes.

Scary house plants

Okay so my roommate apparently told the lady across the hall that we would watch her plants for two weeks. That's cool, we have plants that we haven't killed. We water them every few days or so when ever the soil gets dry. So My roomy left and the plants came over to stay. OH MY GOODNESS!! They are the ugliest, scariest plants I have ever seen! And Im almost certain one is a weed! I posted them let me know what you think. Honestly I think house plants should look nice and sweet and warm.

Oh and I fixed my comment page. Now everyone can leave a comment.
