I love my hubby
1. He will kill giant furry spiders that magically appear in the kitchen at random times.
2. He can reach things on shelves that are over my head.
3. His car is always clean so I don't have to worry about ever cleaning mine out.
4. He is artsy fartsy and had a better eye for color matching than I do. Hence why he does all the color schemes for our house.
5. He always makes me laugh.
6. He knows how to tune me out so I still think he is listening when I start to complain about life.
7. He listens when he knows it counts.
8. He is patient with me even if he isn't with the rest of the world.
9. He gets the way my mind works.
10. He knows when I'm having a rough time by the tone of my voice and without me telling him whats wrong.
11. Even though he doesn't do as much as I would like him to he knows how to cook.
12. He likes to cook.
13. He is snuggly like a teddy bear.
14. He is just as ADD as I am which makes for some very interesting moments in our house.
15. He is good at sports, and I enjoy watching him play.
16. He gets up for Elijah in the middle of the night when I tell him to.
17. He has the best smile in the world (second only to Elijah's).
18. He puts forth 100% effort towards new tasks and things he loves.
19. He can now vacuum a room correctly (he is very trainable).
20. He does things for me, my way just so I won't complain about them too much.
There are plenty more but those are some of my favorites.
Love you dear!

Cold Part 2
Here's what we started with. Dipper. Very important layer.
Next came the long sleeve onesie (with a football helmet on it), long pants (these ones are the backups cuz the ones he will be wearing were in the wash), and socks (with polar bears on them).
Then a jumper with open legs and arms (Space monkey).
And the last layer of clothing. Flannel footie pajamas (with polar bears all over), and his Vikings skull cap to keep his ears and head warm. We are also bringing his hoody too just in case we need another layer or something. See, see, see what kind of mother I have already turned myself into. I might as well pack all of his clothing just in case. and his poor boy then has to smash himself in the the Bjorn for most of the day. HA, I might regret this quickly tomorrow. Well I'm off to put thought into what I should wear tomorrow.

Cold Part 1
Crib, which will turn into a toddler bed and then a big boy bed eventually. Please note all the cute stuffed animals that are waiting for Elijah to be able to sleep with them without the risk of SIDS! Some day, some day. Here is my favorite part of the room. The rocking chair! It's where I spend many a nights feeding the baby. The dresser is our current changing table, slightly messy but oh well. Notice all the books and fun things waiting for Elijah to be able to attend long enough to them. Also one of the outside walls. between the rocking chair and the other picture is the giant window in the room which I still want to get curtains for but I don't know what kind I want yet.
Stash-o-dippers and Elijah's Christmas present. SHH don't tell him it's on the floor in his room maybe he will be surprised in 3 months time. Oh and note most of the diapers on the floor are too small for him and I still need to return them to get the next size. What a pain.

Ewww gross
1. Woke up at the typical 2:00 am time because Elijah was requesting to be fed. Fine that's normal.
2. Elijah is up again at 4:30 crying. This is not so normal and since I knew he shouldn't be hungry I had BJ get up to change him. Elijah starts screaming so I can't sleep so I go and see what BJ is doing to torture my son so bad. Turns out he had peed out of his diaper all over his night gown, and bed. Well thanks to my boss we had double lined the bed sheets for just this situation. While BJ cleans up the baby I deal with the bed.
3. Feeding Elijah at 6:00 before I get ready for work and he decides to spit up all down my back and arm. YUM
4. Coming down stairs with Elijah he spits up on me again. Awesome. The kid is super full. I decide not to change because i will most likely get sneezed on or spit on sometime during the day. What is one more?
By this time I think great I'm off to work it will be a good clean day. HA, wrong.
5. My first kid of the day shows up about 10 minuets early but since I was pumping I couldn't go get her early. Pukes in the waiting room all over the sign in counter, her mother and the floor.
6. My boss in a frantic rush to clean it up comes running into the room I was pumping in to grab the disinfectant cleaner. Surprised both of us once she realized I was pumping. I just had to laugh.
7. Second kid of the day wet her pants just before therapy and is wearing shorts with her cute fall outfit. Mom saying she was still covered in pee.
8. Pumping at noon and make the comment on facebook about the number of bodily fluid encounters i had that day.
9. The third child of the day wets through her diaper all over the chair she was in. GREAT.
10. Get a message from my Daycare that Elijah has blown out 2 diapers and is in his third set of clothes. Mind you he doesn't have that many at there house.
11. Get cough on and sneezed on numerous times during the 5th kid of the day.
Coming home I decided that God had it in for me today. But I do have to say that Elijah looks real good in White Sox gear that the daycare provider put him in because all his clothes were dirty.
What a poopy day.

Harry Potter Exhibit
So on Saturday we headed downtown with our neighbors to enjoy the Harry Potter exhibit at the Science and Industry Museum. It had great reviews and I am a huge fan of the books and enjoy the movies. I thought it would be a fun time going to this thing to see all this stuff from the movies. Well we got down there (late thanks to the Sox game) and pay the 16 bucks to park. We go in, museum has been closed for 2 hours now but there is a fairly large crowd hanging around to get into the exhibit because they only will let so many people in at a time. We get to where we start waiting to get in and Elijah is hungry so we have to try to feed him quickly while we wait. However, being a baby he is distracted by every little thing around him and he is taking forever to eat. He finally finishes his bottle just as we are being let into the show. Once in we find out no cameras and no video. Still not sure why. Rent the movies and you can see it all there. The first room is way over packed because of all the people they just let in. So we skip the first couple of things and move on. I guess I was expecting more interactive portions, at least a place to take pictures and buy them for an outrageous price. I really wanted to see Baby Elijah in Hogwarts gear. Plus it was fun to see just how small the actors all were when they started and even in some of the later movies. Teeny tiny.Saturday, September 26, 2009

Living my life 3 hours at a time.
Then I went back to work thinking, "Thank goodness I will have my life back." Wrong wrong wrong. Now more than ever am I stuck to my 3 hours at a time. I have to keep pumping to keep up my milk supply, if I miss a feeding time I could start to deplete my milk supply and now with Elijah eating more than ever I can't afford to lose any milk. I just hate pumping at work because it is a complete waste of work time. I just don't have a job that I can continue to be productive while I pump. I also get so lonely sitting in a room by myself staring out the window wondering if others can see me from the outside. Thursday, September 24, 2009
The Noisy Bug
The weather has been real nice here lately. To a point that at night we keep our windows open and turn off the air conditioner. The first night was wonderful except for this really, really, really, obnoxious bug living some where out side of our window. It is hard to describe the noise it was making but it sounded some what like a motorcycle and static. It was to a point that BJ and I actually looked at each other and debated closing the windows but we couldn't hear each other. At that point we decided, at least it was a constant buzzing noise we could sleep through that. However, as soon as we decided that the bug decided to start communicating with all of the other bug world using Morris code. Some how, probably due to the fact that we were exhausted, we fell asleep. Last night, forgetting about the night before, we opened the windows again. There was that dang bug again waiting for us buzzing. Again we fell asleep.Wednesday, September 23, 2009
Memories
Elijah posed for a couple of bath pictures on his 3 month birthday. Oh and the next one is how most of bath time goes. Yeah that's right he tries to eat the bath one fist full at a time. Most of the time we have talks about how it is not right to eat soap and if he poops in the tub it's really really gross. So far in his 3 months of life we have only had to deal with that obstacle one time and it happened in our kitchen sink when both BJ and I were bathing him. Then after we are done we get to deal with this one...
Yes that's right my son tries to eat the plastic shower curtain every night. GRRR if its not one thing its another.
The other anniversary I celebrated today is last Wednesday, I forgot part of my pump parts at home and had a huge panic attack due to the fact I was afraid my boobs would explode. I had 45 minutes between the time I found out i forgot the part and my first kid was going to show up What I found out that day, it takes 30 minutes to drive from my work, to the nearest Target and back. It was horrible. I also figured out to double check everyday to make sure I have everything.

I'm Back!! I hope.
A warning for all: I work with children, and I recently just had my own child. This blog will probably turn out to be mostly about children or the way that my brain works (which is very child like most of the time.) There you have been warned.
Wish me luck!

New Townhouse
First of all it is a townhouse so of course we are attached to other people. We have a two car attached garage, two bedrooms with a loft about the same size as the smaller bedroom (that is going to be the craft area), a large kitchen and eating area, a living room with a lofted ceiling and an alcove space that we will be making into our office. We have a laundry room and 2 and a half bathrooms. We are upgrading by almost 1100 square feet in our new home, but i think a lot of that is because we are getting a garage. We are going to have a whole extra bathroom and two extra rooms to put stuff in.
While we were in our apartment we decided it would not be a good idea to spend energy on decorating the place. So now that we will be moving into a new place, one that we own, I want to decorate. BJ has a good eye for design due to his art background, however, I think we will still new help with decorating if anyone wants to offer there expertise.

A Tribute to Elvira!
Elvira here's a look back on our good times.
- When I drove you off the lot the first day
- Remember the first week when we were driving to Kelly's and we almost hit a skunk, that was when your name almost ended up as Pepe Le Peu
- You kept us warm while we "talked"
- All the trips to Augustana
- Your "cruise control", oh yeah it didn't work
- The drive up to Stevens Point that we decided to go for a "spin" literally only we ended up in a ditch and had to be towed out!
- Delivering me safely to any event for our wedding
- Long nights and early mornings
- The way you cried everytime I washed you or drove you in heavy rain (leaky windshield)
- Your first pair of new shoes! Aquatreds baby!!
- Your implants!!! Nothing beats upgraded headlights!
- The day you officially became ours when recieved the title in the mail.
- The morning you decided you didn't want to start because your ticker (battery) stopped working.
- The night you left in good hands!!
So long Elvira we wish you well!

Husband vs. Wife
Second- Husband wins! Sad again. Many of you are probably wondering why were the husband and wife dueling? Well let me draw you a picture.
It all started many many months ago. Some time around December of 2005. The husband and I (then not husband) decided to go and register. Yes register. While out we started to get
distracted and started registering for odd items. One of which was DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). And one of my delightful co-works went ahead and crossed the formal wedding present line and gave it to us for a wedding gift. Now fast forward to last night and I decided it was time to test out our skills. So off came the shoes off came a sock and whap. Elmo sock across the face followed by I challenge you to a duel! After a little trash talk and everyone in there protective and competitive gear. We plug in the floor mats (one that we bought separately sucks) and we go at it. End result Wife sucks, Husband rules and that is that.

Hut-Hut- Dumb Luck
I would like to introduce to the world the beginning of Dumb Luck fantasy football team. Head coach Kelly, assistant coach Kelly, and special teams coach Kelly. That's right folks, I have decided to have my own fantasy team. I named it Dumb Luck because if I win anything it is strickly because of that. I do not follow football much, I watch it because The men in Spandex look great and sometimes they do fun stuff. Other than that I couldn't tell you much about it. And this is my Logo.Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I have missed blogging but these 10 plus hour days really make me sleepy. By the time I get home at the end of the day I am ready to go right to bed. BJ and I are going to try and work together and remind each other to blog more. I mean come on we are newly weds we should have a whole lot to write about.

Huge Favor to ask

This is a shout out to everyone who was able to make it to our wedding a couple a weeks ago. Due to some majorly unfortunate events and technology our photographer's hard drive crashed and ate some of our pictures. So I am asking people to check their photos they took and see if they have any of the following.
1. Pre-wedding anything. (Any with the boys or girls both inside and out).
2. Pre-procetional. (boys at the alter or walking in).
3. Procetional of the bridesmaids.
4. When BJ first saw me or as I was walking down the isle.
5. And most importantly my dad walking me down the isle.

All things naughty
So in honor of my lack of posting and BJ's bachelor party and my Bachloret party we will talk about naughty things we have done lately. In other words, it is a little like confession blog. And to make it fun to read it will be in list form. GO!1. Sometimes I don't brush my teeth before I go to bed.
2. I hate doing all house work so I push it off as long as possible.
3. I don't drink as much fluid as I should.
4. I don't want to do any of my wedding planning stuff.
5. BJ pretended to enjoy his bachelor party but he really didn't.
6. Sometimes I secretly wish some children won't show up for therapy.
7. Sometimes I use shampoo as soap when I want to make my shower shorter.
8. I never wash my clothes in warm water because it might ruin some of my outfits.
9. I watch more TV than I should.
10. I have begun to really enjoy fake-n-baking.
11. I made $35 at my bachloret party.
12. BJ is proud of me for actually making money at my party and not spending it.
13. I get very annoyed when people tell me I am to little because they think I can control it.
14. I really enjoy cop shows on TV
15. I love to gossip.
16. I never make my bed.
17. I enjoy being lazy.
Confess something!

Day late 6
So yesterday was 6-6-06 as everyone knows. If you didn't know I'm not really sure were you were at but you have bigger problems than knowing what is going on in my life.Anyway, nothing really spooky or evil happened to me yesterday, basically it was just another day. Today however, I forgot my lunch, was originally scheduled for 5 kids but ended up having 6, got stuck at subway for the majority of my lunch, had a twilight zone moment at White hen right after that, and left work late. There that was six weird things that happened to me that would have been a little more meaningful if they had happened yesterday.

How to fill a 10.5 hour day doing nothing
8 am-turn on your computer. Put your lunch in the Refigerator and say good morrning to the front desk staff. Log onto the computer (computers are old so it takes a while). Check e-mail accounts, and daily schedual.
9 - Go see the Front desk staff again. See if more of them are there, Stop and fill up your water bottle. Review your plans for your future days to see if you need to do anything. Check your e-mail again.
10- Pick a letter of the alphabet and see how many arts and crafts you can find that will help your client with that letter.
11- Go to the bathroom. Wash your hands real well. Look through random toy closets and pretend to be planing something really good to do with the toys. (It helps if you take some things out and lift them up.)
12- Eat lunch real slow and talk to the other people you are eating with you. (Hint: go about 10 min early and stay about 10 min longer than supposed too.) Check e-mail and schedual to see if anything has changed.
1- Print out some craft activities and Color them. Bug the other therapists and ask them questions about their day and clients.
2- Check e-mail and the next days clients. Print out some e-mails. Get directions to some place on Mapquest. Check the directions to make sure they are correct. Zoom in and out on the map to make sure you know where it is. Fill out some paper work, make sure you make some mistakes so you can use the white out.
3- Pull a couple of charts to review. Maybe grab some new charts and make notes about the kids.
4- Have a snack. Check on the front desk staff. Make sure they are doing okay. Use the bathroom. Play with all the little gadgits in the bathroom, like the arisol can and towels and stuff. Check mail again. Write a couple of e-mails.
5- Check the next days sechedual to make sure nobody new was added to your day. Review the next couple of weeks, see how they look. See what other therapists scheduals are looking like. go back in time and see how past weeks looked.
6- Pack up for the day take a long time. Say goodbye to everyone, and ask them what their plans are for the day. And leave a couple min early.
Hope this helps you firgure out what to do with your day.

Here Ye, Here Ye
Just thought I would let you all know that I am now an official Speech Language Pathologist!!! Yes I did it. I got hooded, I climbed the steps, I walked across the stage, I shook some persons hand, and then walked down the stairs. I didn't fall and they said my name correctly. As far as school goes, I think I am done for a couple of years. Now it is time to grow up and get a job. The thought is a little frightening just because it is something new. It's not that I don't think I will be a good SLP but the fact that I am no longer a student. It took me 6 years to finally figure out how to do a good job at school now it will all change and I will have to be a professional.
Thanks for your attention, you can go on with your day.

The Monster in the attic
something around the house today so I woke up to what I swore was a fox or raccoon in the wall. And I wasn't in that stage of sleep where I was half a wake and half asleep, no I was dead asleep. So when I did finally become conscience enough to realize what was going I was thinking, "Mom is going to flip when she finds out there are animals in the attic." But then the noise didn't stop so I decided to see if the house staining people were here and what do you know there was a latter outside of my window. That's when I realized the noises that woke me up probably weren't animals, but I still didn't know who put the latter there so I went downstairs and realized it was all Sonny. So that was the first 20 min. Of my morning.

Big OOPS
home and got a phone call. It was my work calling to ask me where I was. I was a bit confused because I was sure I had today off, so I did not understand why they were wondering. Then they told me that I was currently thirty min. late for work. I wasn't even sure what happened next but I knew I was 60 min away and I still didn't have any scrubs. So I appologied profusely and sped toward home. I eventually got to work and worked the remainder of my shift. When it was time for me to go home I decided to check the schedule one more time. I figured out my error. I wrote down my Monday time in the Tuesday spot and then I guess I created new hours for me to work on Thursday but it sure would have been funny if I showed up to work and wasn't supposed to be there after a day I didn't show up to work because I didn't know I was supposed to be there.

Prom Weekend
While I was working massive hours this weekend other individuals between the ages of 16 and 18 were attending local proms. One such couple was Brett and his girl friend. I only was able to see pictures of this lovely event but man do those kids clean up nice. So here are a couple of pictures of them.
On another note, today was my first day off in seven and I enjoyed it completely. Just ask BJ, I was desperately needing this day off. Work gets stressful after a certain amount of time. Today I
1. Returned Brett's Tux
2. Bought a new pot for a plant I have
3. Made two corn bags
4. Fixed my spread sheet in excel workshop
5. Repotted my plant
6. Unloaded the dishwasher
7. And just chilled out.
tomorrow it is back to work I am so excited.

bed and laid across the pillows placing her head on my shoulder. Every time I tried to look at her she covered my face in dog slobber. And she laid there on top of me for about 15 min before I finally figured out a way to sit up without injuring her. She just made me laugh because I have never seen here do something like that before. We should have named her Goofy instead of Jasmin.

100th episode
Well first of all thanks to everyone who was worried about me but I'm back and still kicking.
So lets see what to blog about today... hmm... Oh I know!
Okay so before grad school I really did not have much of the craft bug in me. (It does cause a bit of a fever and stuff when you have it real bad). However, when I started hanging out with Jen a bit more I realilized I had the craft bug but it was just lieing dormit for a bit. So the bug came to the surface and started causing problems. First, I started a HUGE cross stich that I am now only about half way done but it has been pushed aside due to other obligations going on in my life at the moment. Then I Started the Veil of Death. Which might I add, the large part edge beading is complete now I just have to do the small part and little things but again, Not finished. Then I decided hmmmm, I know a handful of people who practicly attach me to get my corn bag, so I should make some of those to reduce scaring and bruising prior to the wedding. So I asked for directions on how much fabric to buy and how large squares should be for this thing but I never heard back about it. Well since the bug has been growing more confident I decided I could do it myself (just like a three year old). However, I have Never and I mean Never bough fabric before in my life, I have been there when other people have do it but this was a new experience for me. So Obviously I buy to much. Then I cut the pieces what I think is too small. So instead of having a corn bag I have bean bag size bags for corn. HMMMM again, if only I had those stupid directions. So when I am trying to sew the bags together the sewing machine and I start to fight. (Speaking of, mom I need some help with the Sewing machine). SO right now I have 6 corn bags cut but not put together because of the machine being difficult. Any other craft project I can start and not complete? I would love to know!

Careful, we are about to wake a sleeping beast!
First of all, I PASSED MY TEST!!! Wahoo! This was not a test that I needed to pass to graduate this was just a test I needed to pass in order to get my state license. Done! I was worried about it for a while but now that I know I did it I am not worried any more.
Second, the time between the test and now I spent a lot of time preparing a presentation and writing a paper for school. Basically the paper needed to be about a treatment option or type of syndrome we were working closely with during our internship. That took more time than I would have liked it to have taken, but it is done and now I am waiting for a grade on the project.
Third, I finished up with my internship with Action For Kids. It feels good to be done but I miss all my little kiddos.
Fourth, I got a job. I interviewed some time in March and I accepted a posision at the Rainbow Center which is super exciting and super scary at the same time. I mean come on, this is my first step in being a grown up.
Fifth, BJ and I are moving along smoothly in the wedding plans but I want to talk more about that in a bit.
And last but not least, BJ and I found a place we want to live for the next year or so of our lives while we get everything settled before we buy a house.
Okay about this wedding thing, it's actually more about the wedding and growing up thing. Recently I have been having moments where I just become way overwhelmed with things going on. I try not to think of things to much because that is when it happens the most, however, I will just be sitting somewhere and all of a sudden I will realize that I will soon have to pay a lot of money for rent every month and now it is me paying with my own money not mom's money any more. Then I start to think about having a real job. I have been working this job for about the past 15 weeks but now it will be for real, I will be on my own, nobody will be watching me, or there to jump in if something bad happens during therapy. Then I start to combine the two things and start to worry that the money BJ and I will be making won't be enough to pay our bills and still be able to save for a house cover our fun expenses. Then there is the whole wedding thing too. I mean the invitations need to go out soon, and I mean soon. Like the end of next week and I don't even know if we have all of the right addresses. We sent out our save the dates but some of them came back "return to sender" now I don't remember which ones those are and I would hate to have someone not get there invite because it go lost in the mail. Then it is like every time I turn around some one new is asking me, "Is there anything I can do to help?" and I feel bad telling them no when I am in this state of mind. Im going crazy but I am such a perfectionist that I know if something isn't done just the way I would do it, I would probably redo it just so I felt comfortable that it was a quality job or something. Then there is the shower stuff too. I don't really know how this is supposed to go but I thought I wasn't supposed to have to worry about planning the showers. Right now however, I feel like a relay person telling this person what that person said or is thinking, then relaying the comments back to the first person and so on.
I think I am just a little overwellmed can you tell??? I hope this is normal but I'm not really sure. And I really hope it's over soon because I can't take it much longer.
Sorry it was so long but it makes up for a little time away.

One and Two and
So this morning I woke up and was getting ready, I was almost completely done with my hair and makeup when Gina called me and told me she was going to stay home sick again today. So here I am all awake and ready to go with no where to go so I got dressed and went to the gym. I really am liking this new gym. It is one of those circuit places where you go around in a circle and use all the machines for a set amount of time then switch. Well between each machine there is an aerobic station alternating between steps and one of those squishy boards you run/jump on. Well today I was on one of the stair things and I wasn't really paying that much attention to my feet and I almost missed the step completely and fell on my face. From that moment on I decided talking needed to stop and I needed to focus so I didn't end up hurting myself and going to my interviews all swollen and odd looking.
So now I just got back from Voting and I am off to grab a quick lunch then head down to see BJ. Then I will have to come back up this way for my meeting then interview then I am heading out to my Dad's for the evening.

A day of silence
Well this isn't like any other day when your sick and stay home from work. NOPE! I feel great but I just can't tell you. So here I am board because there is nothing on TV and I already got like 9 hours of sleep last night so I couldn't even sleep in. So I decided to be productive and get some resumes out into the real world and see what would happen. Well I decided I should probably call some places first before I mailed them off so me and squeaky called a handful of places and everywhere I called and talked to a real live person wanted my resume so they got it. It really does look quite nice. Then came the cool part, four of the places want an interview. So next week I have four interviews. I think that is kind exciting. Wish me luck.

Watch out Mad blogger on the loose!
First I will send out a thanks to BJ for still thinking it is a good idea to get married! I feel the same way but it is nice to know he feels the same way.
Now on to the good stuff. Most of you know my supervisor at my externship is pregnant, but so are two other individuals at the clinic. So I spend the majority of my day around women who are slowly gaining little tummies and I start to day dream. Most of you also know that when my brain gets going I just can't stop, so naturally it's been going in the direction of pregnancy. I keep thinking about how different life will be once I am pregnant and I am starting to catch myself not doing things so I wont have to change them when I do get pregnant. CRAZY!!!! NEED TO STOP!!!!
For example, I want to by some new clothes, especially pants, but I don't want to buy anything that I might grow out of in two or three years. Okay really two or three years, people buy new clothes all the time in that extent of time. Maybe I should just jump the gun and buy myself something like this so I don't have to buy new underwear in three years when I get pregnant. Then shirts, that's a whole nother story. To save time Just call me a freak and get on with it. So could some one make me a giant L to hang over my bed to remind me I am loser? Thanks.

Its Been a while
Now its time for excuses. Okay well I have been studying my butt off to take this test that I had today. The easiest way to explain this test is its like the Speech Language Pathologists version of Boards. Plus I have been busy with my "job."
Catch up time: Last weekend BJ and I had premarital counseling. It was fun but really long. And I'm not real sure if they did this on purpose, but we were sitting on the most uncomfortable chairs in the whole church. Now most people didn't attend our church so they wouldn't know better that we had better chairs but we knew better. 8 hours on these things! Poor BJ, He was in pain, around 1 or 2 my lower half fell asleep so I forgot how much pain I was in. Over all, the event was a good we learned some new stuff and we still have to meet with our marriage mentors to review our scores that we received.
This weekend I came up to Wisconsin to take my test. I decided to come up here because I could then see some of the girls I haven't seen in a few months. Last night Tania and I studied for a bit then I came to the hotel and tried to get some sleep. Tried was the key word to that sentence. I did not sleep well at all, I was to hot, to cold, spazing that I missed the test, so on and so on. Finally, when it was time to get up I felt horrible. I kept trying to tell myself that it was just nerves but I am now convinced that I had some type of intestinal thing because I still feel like something has tied my intestines up into a huge knot. Now I want to go into the hot tub but middle aged people are down there and I don't want to go and sit with a bunch of strangers. Not may cup of tea. Oh well. Tomorrow I will head home back to the same old same old.

Our weekend

We had a bunch of fun this weekend! We went down to Chicago Saturday night to see Tony and Tina's wedding. I would highly recommend the play especially if you are Italian. If you have never heard of it, it is like going to a wedding and you are part of the reception. BJ got real into it and so did some of the other people around us which made it that much more fun. Then we stayed the night at the Ambassador East Hotel, they had robes in the room for you to use. The tub at this hotel was super, unfortunately I didn't figure this out until Sunday morning so I couldn't take a bath and enjoy it. Then on Sunday we went to the Shedd Aquarium because we had free passes so we decided to go and enjoy the fish and other wild and scary animals.

The bummer though, I forgot the camera. I didn't realize this until we were getting on the highway and it was to late to turn around and get it. So no pictures of the weekend, sorry. Trust me I'm mad I forgot the camera and I can't even draw you pictures of the fish or things cuz I'm not that creative.

Blah
On a separate note, I bought the items for our wedding favors today. I'm excited. I came up with this idea a while ago but had to wait for today before I could execute. While I was looking for these items I went to about four stores and couldn't find them. I started to get real worried and even started thinking of a back up plan. But then I got to work and there was a store right by my store and sure enough there they were. So I started buying and got a little carried away. This weekend Mom and I are going to Jo Ann's and doing the same thing but for different items. I love bargain shopping!!!!

Question for Google

So who gets to create the logos for Google? I think that would be a fun job, graphic designer for google. All day you would sit around and research different world events then change the google logo to match or support that aspect. I wonder if that is a full time job or if different people can submit there entries to be reviewed. So if you could design a google logo what would it be for? I think mine would be some time in May for Better Speech and Hearing month. (the one up is for leap year).

I went Ice Skating
I have really been getting into my job but I would be having so much more fun if I was getting paid. Even just a little bit. So yeah that's my life lately. Sorry no witty comments about life. The witty things come when I blog more often.HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

It has started
On another note it was a bad Monday today. I got a phone call from my second supervisor saying that one of our clients had canceled. Well I'm not real sure what I was thinking because I automatically assumed it was the first client at 12:30. Well at about 12:45 it hit me that it was really the last client of the day that canceled and there was no way I would make it to the therapy so I just stayed and looked like a moron when I finally did meet up with her.
PS tonight I used the jumprope that I bought a way long time ago with Tania and Jen. I have now gotten my $3.00 out of it but I should probably use it a few more times so I don't feel so out of shape when I am chasing the kiddos around the clinic.

Look Two days in a row
I know this is not like me but yes, I am posting two days in a row. Maybe it's the beginning of a new habit. Try to not get your hopes up. My day today, Hmmmm... I woke up earlier than I really should have been up but I finished addressing save the date cards along with stamping them all. The majority of the cards are in the mail and on there way to loved ones. Some of them are still with me because we are still trying to get several more addresses. Then I sewed some more of the beads onto my Veil and did more wedding stuff. I worked real hard today to keep busy and find excuse on why I shouldn't study for the Praxis. Then we all went out to dinner at Brick House Pizza which is by far the BEST pizza on the face of the earth. If anyone comes out to see me it is garontied that they will get treated to dinner at Brick House!! Then BJ, Brett, Jackie and I went to an AC Rock concert. It was a group of four men who sang a cappella. And yes they did look like the wiggles but they sang better music than the wiggles. I had fun. It was one of those things that was good for the whole family and times like these I wish I had a family to take to them. Hope you had a good weekend!! Tomorrow I am going to spend studying for at least 2 hours.

What to wear, What to wear.
But what I spend the most time on deciding what I should wear everyday are my socks. Yes, oh yes, my socks. Now that I get to be an SLP I don't have to wear shoes which means my socks are very noticeable and the only thing that separates my feet from the floors of peoples houses. They keep me warm yet need to match. Depending on the day I may need thicker socks because the floors are cold where other days I just need something cute so I don't have to look at my toes peaking out.Do you have an article of clothing that is hard for you to decide on?

First Day
Second, today was my first day of my internship. Now I don't want to sound snobby or anything but I am 14 weeks and 4 days away from being done. Well actually 15 weeks away from being 100% done. I figured it out today that I will finish my internship the Friday before the big paper is due so on Monday, April 24th I will have completed all of my school work have one month to wait for my actual degree. WAHOO.
So I bet you are all wondering how my first day went. It was fun. It wasn't nearly as exhausting as I was expecting that's for sure. Now you have to keep in mind that for the past 5 years I have worked a job that is fast paced and crazy busy, so spending the majority of my day in a car was nothing compared to that. I saw 6 kids today and tomorrow will probably see about the same number. For my first day of work I wore my outfit that I wear when I need extra confidence. (I get that boost of confidence because I look good in the outfit so I feel good so I'm more out going.) I also wore my polar bear socks just in case my outfit didn't help me out. But no worries, the hardest thing for me to do is to not yawn while with the clients. There are times when therapy just seems to drag by and it's hard to not yawn. I also had to go out and buy some cardigan to wear because I get cold easily and with gas costing so much this year people are keeping their homes cooler than what I find comfortable.
tomorrow night I will be at my dad's house so I might not be able to blog if not see you in a few days.

Having Troubles
On another note, since I last posted BJ and I registered which was a ton of fun. I personally think we went a little overboard but hey its just a wish list of things we would like to have not necessarily a list of what we must have. Even though there are some items that we registerd for that would make life a lot easier if we had like bed sheets or lamps or silverware. However, the whole process took about 10 times longer than I expected and I was really exhausted after we were done. I worked during the day on Friday and then made BJ dinner that night. He was very proud of me, I didn't burn anything down and it wasn't macaroni and cheese from the blue box. Then we goofed around online a little more with our registies and created a
new one because we found more stuff we liked at another store. Saturday Megan and I went to go get our toes done for Megan's birthday (only a month late). I have cute little snowmen on my big toe and Megan had flowers put on hers. I felt bad though because I paid with a credit card and they didn't give me an option for a tip and the only cash I had on me was a $10 bill so I didn't leave a tip. I hate when I have to do that, they spent so much time on my toes and I couldn't leave a tip. Then Saturday night BJ and I saw Memoirs of a Geisha. It was real good and very cultural informative. I liked it and am now reading the book. I, unlike some, like to see the movie first then read the book because the book fills in gaps the movie leaves out enhancing the overall experience of the whole thing. If I do it the other way around then I don't enjoy the movie as much or spend to much time analyzing how the two were different.Well that's all for now. Hopefully tomorrow I will post about the first day of work.

Work, Its really not that fun!
Well yesterday I forgot to mention my New Year's resolutions. I made two, and personally I think that is pretty darn good. My first on is to get in shape before the wedding. Grad school and college really let me slack a lot, so I need to start running or something just to get more energy. Second, I'm going on an allowance. I am giving myself $20 a week in cash and besides gas or other expenses I am already obligated to pay, that is the only money I can spend that week. This will help out the first resolution because if I only have $20 then I won't want to spend it on fast food or stuff like that, so I will be healthier.
What are your New Year's resolutions? Anything spectacular?

Happy New Year
So here it is 4:00 on New Years Eve and we have no plans. So BJ and I get to his house and quickly try to make plans for the evening. We decided to once again go bowling and spend the evening at the bowling ally. Well around 10:30 I started to feel kinda funny. I didn't know if I was hungry or if I had eaten something weird. So I sat a few games out. Well as the night went by I just got worse and worse and worse. The clock struck midnight, we said happy New Year, and I said we need to go I am going to be sick. So my first day of 2006 was spent sleeping on BJ's bathroom floor because every time I would try to move I would get sick. Sometime during the day BJ's mother convinced me to move downstairs so everyone could make sure I was still alive. 24 hours later I was soar, and asleep but today, Jan. 2, I was at least a little more social than the day before. So I hope that the first day of the new year does not influence the rest of the year because that would stink pretty bad! Hope your holiday was better than mine!
